What happens for the little guy? Are you really driving more traffic to your site because of twitter? I have a question to all of the leaders out there in the industries, such as network marketing, where you make your money by promoting other people up. Are you really converting and growing or are you just gaining “fans” on twitter? And if you are growing a bit are your practices duplicatable?
The answer is NO and you know it! If you are already a player than clearly you deserve the perks that come with the effort that you put into it. But if you are honestly trying to help others in your heart let me ask you this: Can they do what you are doing? Can they write earth-shattering blogs and actually have people read them? The answer is No and you know it. You, as someone already well known in the industry, can write a blog and have 5000 people read it because of your PRE-EXISTING status but the other 5000 people on your message list do not have that same stage and they can not gain it there because guess what……there is NO RELATIONSHIP BUILDING happening on twitter. You just physically cannot keep up with even 100 people realistically gang so how are you following 5,000? Long term real business is based on some form of relationship building. If you are in it for a quick one time pop and are savvy enough to get a sale than great, but if you are looking to make some long term residual income you have to become a likable human again not an all knowing Nit Twit!
Now don’t get me wrong I am not anti-twitter. Like everything it can serve a purpose depending on how you use it. I will post blogs on there in hopes that one of my messages may hit someone the right way and do something in a positive way for them. The reality of the situation is that it is like writing a winning lens on squidoo. It does not happen for everyone and it is rare. I don’t think it is smart to tell my people in my organization to get on twitter and twit your life away because your business will NOT GROW. Call me old school but if you are going to Internet it go to face book and build relationships online!
People still want to see what you look like. You can create a warm market in a much better fashion on a page than you can racing to tweet to 1,000 “fans”! Those are numbers not fans gang! If you are looking to be cool and popular by all means fool yourself into thinking the more twitter people you have means just that. If you are looking to build someone and help the little guy grow be honest and go old fashion with me. Create a relationship! It is real and DUPLICATABLE as everyone has the ability to do it not like the stage we are using at the twitdom!
Throughout my short, lucrative, and incredibly fun stay in my Network Marketing Company I have seen a lot of systems come and go. I am not anti-anything that will help someone out as long as there is integrity in it and it is not harming someone else. Those that build them clearly are brilliant thinkers so kudos to them. But again I cannot teach such a thing that did not get me to the point where I am, and I have not seen enough evidence for me to buy in. That is just my opinion. I have some pals that are brilliant at these systems, but I am not and do not pretend to be. If you did not make your success this way please be careful about telling people it is the only way to go. In the end gang integrity does win out. Make sure you are on the winning end.
Leaders do me a favor and think back to when you were the little guy or gal. Remember when you did not have the stage you have now. Remember when what you said not a soul would listen to. Please ask yourself: Is what I am teaching right now something that I could have done to get me to where I currently am? I would bet that if you search with integrity in your heart and soul the answer would be no. If that is the case it is not too late to make a change. I urge you to do some real searching on this. The little guy deserves to rise. Duplication is the name of the game. I don’t think the twitter stage that you have is duplicatable! Do you?
I reserve the right to be wrong here. If I am I will happily accept that knowing that it was with integrity and good intention. Let’s make sure that is what our industries are about. In the long run you will sleep better ☺. Viva Revolution. Let’s save the economy with free Enterprise.
To your success

Wesley Anderson
Hey Wes,
Thanks for writing this. Sometimes I feel people get lost in the idea of having 100’s of followers and spend most of there time doing busy work. Instead of tweeting all day they should be out making contact with people. You know actually doing some networking.
To Wes’s Readers:
Wes is a very smart man, I highly recommend that you look into doing business with him.
All the best,
