I will be heading over to watch the Titans in Nashville dismantle the little birds from Baltimore this Saturday. I am very excited as this was on my goal list for things to do in 2009. Some would call it fun while others would say it is insane for me to purchase a ticket for $500.00 to go to see a bunch of crazies beat the living day lights out of each other. You can call me either I don’t mind! What I do know is that it brings me joy to watch the Titans play (especially when they win) and when there is joy in my life I do better in all other areas.
It was about 1am and I was unable to sleep with the thought of a brand new year ahead so I decided to turn the TV on for some company. Ironically one of my favorite movies of all time was on which was wonderful but also meant I would now be up for another two hours. It had been a few years since I had last watched Remember the Titans and I had forgotten how powerful of a message indeed it is. It is one of those movies that makes you look at life and remember what is important and to live life to the fullest every day.
I used to be really good at reminding myself and motivating myself on a daily basis. Sometimes we forget the little things are the big things. Something as simple as listening to your favorite song or watching your favorite movie in a somewhat frequent basis is something we often look past. Those little joys are what put you in a good space. When you are in a good space you tend to attract good things into your life.
This post is nothing more than a reminder to remember to do the fun things daily. Your output or production in the rest of your life is affected a tremendous amount by your current attitude and behavior toward the world whether you think so or not.
So turn off the news it is depressing…watch your favorite movie and smile. Read from your favorite book every morning and put yourself in a positive space.
Remember the little joys in life are what produce the biggest positive outcomes whether it be in relationships or your business career. And don’t forget to cheer on the Titans this Saturday ☺.
